i can confirm that this issue kills irregularly but ca. 1 or 2 times per week and if u have luck, the server isnt empty till the "bug" or whatever is "over"!

Which value is "normal"? Should it help to set "steamworks_sessionid_server " to 1 or 2 or 3 (the normal value) in autoexec.cfg so not later than mapchange new connected player can join the server?

"Failed to join session" is population killer for small and big servers alike. Ido has mentioned in the past that This is a known issue related to Steam client updates, which usually happens on Tuesday afternoons, PST and unfortunately there is no ETA on a fix.

I was wondering if anyone has developed any tricks or workarounds for this besides keeping a close eye out for it happening.
