If memory serves, there was also mention of TEMPEST-like attacks in
Peter Wright's "Spycatcher" where, going from memory, the British
found plaintext traces in the ciphertext out of electromagnetic
crypto systems they'd targetted. This would have been in the 50's.
I can find an exact reference is anyone is interested.
