I was hoping you’d name all the NICs, IP ranges, Gateways and purposes of your
network. It would be helpful if you also copied the relevant parts of the
network.json file to gist or pastebin.

Adding a bastion network to the network json file before running the install
script solved.

The gateway is part of the network json file so you need it to be right there.

It would help if you sent details of your planned network config.

This is CB1 so I'm very rusty. Would be great for the CB1 contributors to
chime in too

Subject: [Crowbar] bastion network
Hi,
I am trying to add an external interface to a dual mode installation. I haven't
installed the admin node, but planning to readh the admin node over a third
interface. When i want to define a bastion network for crowbar admin, will i
keep router and router_pref at admin part? I want mt default gw defined on the
third interface, eth3.
 https://github.com/crowbar/crowbar/wiki/Editing-the-network-json says i need
to run two commands.

sudo crowbar network allocate_ip default $admin_name bastion admin

sudo chef-client

do they handle the default gw issue if i define router for admin network?
