I've never see anything like that, and I suspect we might be the only
project interested in that level of detail across vendors.

We probably need to start our own 'crowd sourced' list.   I see an
eventual need for a database, but for now, I think a wiki page or file
in the tree would be a good start.

For the data model, I think we should track BIOS separately from disk
controllers, since they may use different tools or API's.  If nothing
else, multiple controllers may be supported for a given hardware
model.

Also, we should probably track whether the tools are proprietary, and
whether they are openly available or limited to customers with support
contracts.
