I believe there is an issue right now in the Roxy build with the way gems are
being pulled down. A workaround for this problem that I have been using is to
delete the two offending gems:

rm /opt/dell/barclamps/crowbar/cache/gems/activesupport-4.0.4.gem
/opt/dell/barclamps/crowbar/cache/gems/rake-10.2.1.gem

If you run this before the crowbar installation script, you should have better
success.

Good luck!
Wes

Subject: Re: [Crowbar] Building/Installing from Roxy ISO

Maybe i should add that i got this error before and someone in the IRC pointed
me to the fact that i should not install/run ruby 1.9.x for the ISO build. I
did not do this, the ISO build system has only Ruby 1.8.7 installed and so has
the system the ISO booted into.

Hi,

i am trying to build my own Roxy openstack ISO. Finally i succeeded to get
through the build process without any error. But then i now try to install from
the ISO i get several errors right at start due to wrong/missing gem
dependencies[1] and wrong ruby version[2].

[1] ERROR: While executing gem ... (Gem:DependencyError)
Unable to resolve dependencies: activerecord requires activesupport
(= 2.3.17); activeresource requires activesupport (= 2.3.17); rails requires
activesupport (= 2.3.17), actionpack (= 2.3.17); actionmailer requires
actionpack (=2.3.17)

[2] ERROR: Error installing simple-navigation-3.7.0.gem: active support
requires Ruby version >= 1.9.3
            Same error with blue pill

Then chef server wouldn't come up and installation is over. The ISO was build
on a fresh ubuntu 12.04.4 VBox VM and i stick to the instructions on the
github. What do i do wrong, or is there at least a way to build a working iso
!= mesa. I really need dell HW support in my openstack iso. Tried every
possible iso roxy/stoney/hydrogen. Could you please check your ISO build
procedure to me it seems like at the moment there is no way to build an
functioning ISO, tried it for more than a week now.

Stefan
