Jonathan, Excellent questions and something that we should review on the Thursday community planning call.
It's not entirely clear at this point if these branches will be needed/used. We're trying to get away from co-mingling internal versioning with community - please bear with us. We've had some discussion that the "mesa-1.6" branch should have been named "mesa" or "bambam" and not included version information. Opinions on that are welcome. We are trying to drive discussion on that to the interactive community calls. The basic answer to your question is that we're actively working on a patch on the "mesa" branch which will update the Grizzly bits and have some other minor fixes. Depending on the level of changes, it would be called 1.6.1 or 1.7. You are correct that Pebbles is the current development branch for Grizzly/Havana work. It is active so less stable. I see the Crowbar /releases folder on github has recently grown to include mesa-1.6.1 and mesa-1.7 releases. Can anyone help me understand where those fall on the roadmap, and what functionality is targeted for them? We are going to be moving forward from an older version shortly and I would like to understand our options for upcoming releases to choose from. I'm going to assume that "pebbles" remains the unstable development branch.
