Hey Marin,

It sounds like you are having the misfortune of trying to use branches that are
currently under development! Development/openstack-os-build is our Crowbar 2.0
branch that we are currently working on. It will be the next major release of
Crowbar, and it is in a not very functional state at this time.

The pebbles branch is also currently being worked on. This is basically
Crowbar 1.5 updated to include Grizzly support, as well as adding some
additional features. This branch will be going into QA relatively soon, but is
not stable at this time.

The latest stable OpenStack release is fred/openstack-os-build, and from your
description, I believe that's the branch that you want.

Thanks!

Subject: [Crowbar] Host state empty and Render error: barclamps

Hi,

I've built Crowbar using the dev tool and the development/openstack-os-build
branch. The ISO installs and starts Crowbar and Chef, but the Web UI shows no
info on host (running
Crowbar) - host state is 'empty' and everything else is blank. In addition, the
barclamps menu shows an error - Render error: barclamps.

I've looked around Chef and all of the databags seem to be configured, Ohai
gathers data ok, and Crowbar-related data seems to be present.

Did I use the wrong branch, should I use pebbles (if I understood correctly,
pebbles is the latest release)? I'm not interested in development at this time,
just want to have a reasonably featureful Crowbar to test :)

Thx,
 Marin
