Hi David,

Look at the freepages on ulsterancestry.com Other useful sites are
https://www.immigrantships.net/ and
https://www.olivetreegenealogy.com/ships/search_ships.shtml

It was much later in the 19th century before ships had provide passenger
manifests for leaving the UK.

Subject: [CoTyroneMailingList] Londonderry Ship Manifests

Hello,

Two of my County Tyrone Irish relatives sailed from Londonderry to America.
John McDevitt left in May 1816 and sailed into New York City. While Alexander
Gallagher and his wife, Mary McDevitt Gallagher, left in July 1820 and sailed
into Philadelphia.

Is there any chance of determining the name of the ships they sailed on, why
they left or who paid their passage?

- David Prater
