BURNING OF A HOUSE AT FARDROSS, NEAR CLOGHER

Northern Whig, Belfast February 11 1833

On the night of Thursday week, a lawless party set fire to a house occupied
by a man named MURPHY, on the lands of Fordross [Fardross], within a mile
of Clogher. The family providentially escaped, although care was taken to
secure the door before the party left the spot. Murphy is herd to Mr.
WILLIAM ARMSTRONG, of Gortin, who holds the farm. The reason assigned was,
that the former occupiers of the land were ejected – Fermanagh Reporter
