i read the rejected future i saw all the threads but i hope if you could
reconsider it not all hosts allow root access and they don't include all
tools
rsync not installed on all hosts and some host may don't want to install
it because of verification feature that it have it would put a lot of
stress on possessor specially in shared hosts
dd working on block level even if you could copy using it
dd is made for specific purpose and it's not suitable replacement to cp
beside that there's people who provides patches already
