Hmm, this wouldn't help for the - probably many - other packages which are shipped as *.xz only, e.g. GNU sed. Not that I would be strictly against a second compression format, but to me it seems like adding crc64 to busybox' xz would be easier than to ask every project to ship a second format, isn't it?
