As mentioning the issue alone didn't get it fixed, I went ahead and
wrote patches for the remaining issues (chain that ends in [1]). I have
no doubt that we can merge these changes as is, but if you have any of
the devices affected, it might be worth to give the respective patch a
try nevertheless.
