I did the HPET NMI generator on Intel PCH, it works fine. I just fill the MSI addr/data in a way that it was delivering NMI to certain CPU - physical delivery to a CPU with a certain ID. If this does not work on AMD, perhaps there is some problem with chipset configuration. Please check the HT specs and try to sort out the MT3 setup.
