We should distinguish here between the files before and after raminit. I don't think we should have any false file lookups before we can start caching the rom.
I like the plan Carl-Daniel, it's a simple workaround that buys us time to think. Someone may come up with a new solution to all of this once flashrom can work with individual sectors. //Peter
