Using --describe-module with --release $N is a useful combination as I might have a module-info.class in a versioned section. We'll need to update the man page to allow this. I don't understand the combination of --validate and --release $N. This option is documented (in the usage output) to validate "all different release" and I don't think can be restricted to a specific version.
