I am currently working on a project which involves the replication of a textile, based on an existing fragment from the late 19th century. We would like to have the fragment’s dye identified to inform the creation of the new fabric. Does anyone know of people or institutions able to perform this sort of analysis? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
