Linked Conservation Data is a consortium of partners who aim to discuss and report on ways that conservation documentation can be disseminated and re-used more effectively through Linked Data. The first event of the project will be a webinar on the 3rd of May 2019 from 3:30-5:30pm BST/10:30am-12:30pm ET/7:30-9:30am PT. The program includes Thanasis Velios and Kristen St.John introducing the Consortium and the basic premises of Linked Data. Then there will be three presentations by different groups aligned with cultural heritage/conservation who are either developing Linked Data projects or are studying the potential in their areas: * Gallery Systems and Conservation Studio: Considerations and Challenges for Linked Data - Jay Hoffman, Vadim Soshkin, Karen Waldemar (Gallery Systems) * Arches and Linked Art: A Platform for Linked Data Conservation - Dennis Wuthrich (Farallon Geographics) and Rob Sanderson (the J.
