I am researching the possibility of using an existing gallery space to house our Works on Paper collections. I envisage secure units for the majority of the collection - which could be hidden behind temporary walls, or open to the public. In addition Id like to include a print room element, easily changed poster housing/ standard frames on the walls, and specific secure drawers to pull out with perspex covers showing a select small group 'in storage'. This would solve a multitude of storage problems across our organisation. Has anyone done this and be prepared to share their experiences? I am very much at the research stages, so any do's and dont's would be great - companies used etc
