The Institute of Conservation Historic Interiors Group are organising a
two-hour walk of Bristol which reassess city landmarks with a view to
revealing their often hidden associations with the slave trade, the wider
slave economy and the Black presence in Bristol. We shall begin at the
Docks in front of the Architecture Centre, have a look at Prince Street,
Queen Square and King Street before going up the the medieval centre of
town, return back via Colston Hall and Orchard Street and end up at the
Georgian House Museum. Attendees will then have the opportunity to have
lunch in the vicinity before we regroup for a private tour of the museum
between 2 3 pm.
