The UConn Library invites applications and nominations for the position of Special Collections Conservator. Under the general direction of the Head of Digital Imaging & Conservation, the Special Collections Conservator manages the work of the Conservation Lab, integrating its functions with those of other programs of the Archives & Special Collections, and performs a wide range of conservation treatments on special collections materials. The Conservator coordinates workflows for the digital production program for archives and special collections materials and provides advice on preservation policy for the Library.
The main 4,400-acre (17.8 km2) campus is set in a university town located in the rural heart of Connecticut; approximately a half hour's drive from Hartford, 90 minutes from Boston, and 3 hours from New York.
