The Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter UK has in its collection a Megalethoscope. A 19th century device invented by Swiss optician Carlo Ponti, designed for viewing large slides of landscape, streetscape etc under varying light sources. The RAMM example is substantially complete but in need of some missing parts and general conservation. They appear to be fairly rare in the UK but perhaps more common in the USA.
