Thanks for the suggestions. I did go to the Dell web page and downloaded,
what I suppose to be, the proper drivers.  I burned them to a CD and
downloaded them to the desktop of the offending Dell computer.  When I got
them there, the files were empty.  I ordered a disk from Dell, so now, I'm
waiting for it.  I originally bought the machine in 2006, so I've lost, or
mis-placed any disks that came with it.
