Most new cards use the AGP(Accelerated Graphics Port) slot on your
Motherboard
Please see image its the brown connector

Depending on how far you want to future proof your computer for gaming
at the moment most 256mb cards will suffice for most games although
some
can be exclusive of some types of cards. Generally the most acceptable
ones
are by Nvidia and ATi.
If you want to be able to game well into the future i would recommend
investing in a
512MB model. Pricey but definately futureproofed.
Hope this helps you out!!
