I ran AdAware and SpyBot on both my computers, then I scanned them both for viruses. I found and deleted a combination of 1 virus and 5 instances of spy/add ware between both machines. The was still going slower than usual. Next, I ran the in cable to the modum and directly to my computer. That did the trick. The internet works the way it should when it was by-passing the router. While the router was dis-connected, I moved the eithernet wire to another port on the router, then plugged everything back up. As of right now. both computers are doing much, much better. I don't know how moving the eithernet wire has any effect, but it did (does).
