Thanks for the reply.  I won't be able to try it until Wednesday.  The
computers are in a lab at a senior center where I teach classes.

Basically what I'm trying to do is keep the Vista machine's (the
remotely controlled machine) desktop visible on a projector so the
students can see what I'm doing.  Because of the layout of the room,
it works better if I can remotely control the Vista machine from one
of the other computers, which are all XP Pro.  So far I have no
problem with the remote except the screen on the Vista machine
switches to the "locked" screen as soon as the remote session starts,
which means the students see nothing but a typical log-in screen
saying the computer is locked.
