Thank you for an interesting tournament. ManyFaces was running on an Amazon m2.4xlarge, a Xeon x5550 2.67 GHz. My tests show this to be the same speed as my core i7-3770, but the EC2 has much more memory installed. I worked on a no-resign preserve score version, but didn’t finish it in time, so I entered the same program as last month's KGS tournament. It has dynamic komi, but only to preserve extra points up to 20 points when it is winning. It resigns when the win rate is 5% or less and the score estimate is sufficiently negative and no large threats are available.
