Regarding this year's KGS bot tournaments:
Ingo Althöfer has announced that the winners of the KGS bot tournaments
in April, June, and July will be invited to give demonstration games,
13x13, 9x9 and 19x19 respectively, against strong players at the
European Go Congress in Bonn. These are the latest KGS monthly bot
tournaments of the appropriate board-sizes before the start of the
Congress. The Congress will run from July 21st to August 4th; the dates
of the computer Go events within that period have not yet been fixed, so
far as I know.
Unrelated to the above: I have changed the date for the December
tournament, from December 9th to December 2nd. I had always intended it
to be December 2nd, the 9th is not possible for me. So, if you have
already copied this date from http://www.weddslist.com/kgs/future.html
to your diary, please correct it.
