Hallo, That would be nice, and indeed it is in effect. I just paid the congress fee, so I will come to Bonn.
Who is your canditate? I will allow remote computer, if the gobot is hardware depended, that is: it is running on super computer or utilizes distributive calculation such as Pachi. Or has server scale hardware or cluster such as CS and ZenD (if these are to challenge me, I need to start serious go training!), that cannot be brought on site. However, I think that it would be appropriate that if game is played over the Internet, there should have reputable hardware, that has clear history of KGS games (of course if supercomputer is rented just for this event, it is ok). Also, if particular gobot is new to me, I would like to check it's performance at KGS. If it cannot beat me at blitz, it is no use to organize slow match either. I think that I can beat MFGo, Ginselgo and Aya in blitz, but Pachi2 and above are good enough. —Jouni On Jan 4, 2012 7:45 PM, Ingo Althöfer <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > is the X-Price of Jouni still offered? > http://www.suomigo.net/wiki/JouniValkonen > > Would remote computer play be accepted? > If so, I might have a candidate for a try > at the EGC 2012 in Bonn. > > Ingo. > -- > Empfehlen Sie GMX DSL Ihren Freunden und Bekannten und wir > belohnen Sie mit bis zu 50,- Euro! https://freundschaftswerbung.gmx.de > _______________________________________________ > Computer-go mailing list > [email protected] > http://dvandva.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/computer-go >
