We invite applications for fully-funded PhD studentships in Game AI and related areas.
There are two types available: * IGGI Centre for Doctoral Training: http://iggi.org.uk (see Queen Mary University of London supervisors here: http://gameai.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/iggi2018-cfc/ ) These are 4-year studentships, with significant taught components and industry placements, but restricted to UK/EU students apart from exceptional cases. There are 12 studentships available across the 4 IGGI sites (York, Essex, Goldsmiths and QMUL) * Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) funded studentships: these are 3-year studentships open to candidates from any country (we have several of these available) http://gameai.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/phd-studentships2018/ Games provide a perfect test bed and application area for AI. Recent advances in AI have been amazing, and will take many aspects of games to exciting new levels in the coming years.
