Hi, Thanks for expressing your gratitude to the UEC Cup. That makes us forget hard work for preparation, and proceed to the next UEC Cup.
On the tournament system, Aja explained it well instead of us; we planned the system similar to the professional players' tournaments. In this system, the value of games get heavier as the tournament proceeds. Semifinals and final are really important, and the professional players we invited explained those games to the audience in the same room. Hearing explanation of those professionals is really interesting, and people come just for it. We will probably re-consider about seeds, as Remi suggested. We know that our system is not perfect, but please consider that the direct-elimination system in the final day is a character of the UEC Cup. We hope that there arise several similar computer Go tournaments, each of which has its own character, all around the world.
