I vaguely remember that the local organization will also provide meals for a very reasonable price.

Regarding the strength of your program, it does not matter if it is not strong. The spirit of this event is mainly to let programmers meet, chat, and have fun together. Some very weak programs participated in previous editions. The more participants, the better. And registering will give you a strong motivation to improve. As the creed of the Olympics says, the most important thing is not to win, but to take part.
