Thank you Magnus, you are right about UCT. I misunderstood it.

But the essence of my post is still valid, even if not applicable to UCT.

Simulation is a very sound, stable and "blunder-avoiding" value of
a board position, but it does not represent perfect play. This is
something that should not be neglected because shodan players
approach perfect play. Will MC development show some kind
of ceiling? Who knows, but it certainly could be.
