I'm closing the now redundant Ubuntu task which actually needed moving
to a specific package but a new task was unnecessarily created in
response to comment #3.
However, there is no indication as to which release of Kubuntu this bug
report refers to: the jammy, kinetic, lunar and mantic releases are all
open for bug reporting.
'compiz' is not installed by default in recent Kubuntu releases. Are you
saying that the installation of compiz has resulted in Kubuntu's panel
not being displayed when starting the desktop environment?
Please edit the bug description to fully describe the issue that you are
experiencing.
