I tried to file the bug for Compiz developers, but was not helped by having to choose between three different Bugzilla hosts referred from various places. Thankfully, one does not work, bringing it town to two. The database at bugs.compiz.org has a total of 15 bugs at the moment, and the first of the reports is hardly 2 months old. I guess this is the new official one; I'll resubmit my bug there as well.
