You know the new Ubuntu login screen (e.g. http://effiejayx.files.wordpress.com/2009/10/ubuntu-10-04-karmic-koala- login-screen.jpg )? Why not use that pixelization (or whatever it is called) for the switcher backdrop? Or even that same graphic?
