Thanks Travis Watkins, if I use Options >Select Session > Failsafe GNOME, I can log in as the new user. When I do this, though, System >Preferences >Appearance > Visual Effects tab is already set to None. How can I make it "stick" for regular "GNOME" or "Run Xclient script" sessions? Is there a file that stores the Visual Effects settings from session to session?
Otherwise, I have to keep selecting Failsafe GNOME at log in time, as it does not seem to remember it as the default. -- New desktop users get just white screen on login (with mouse pointer moving) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432743 You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
