Hello Comp Neuro!

Please share this widely. Georgia Tech’s School of Electrical and Computer
engineering (ECE) is hiring faculty in bioengineering with a preference for
candidates aligned with an emerging institute for neuroscience, neurotech and
society: https://b.gatech.edu/3QIvgnZ.

Application review starts Dec 15. The job ad is here: https://bit.ly/3QIUaU8

Even if you're not a traditional ECE, consider applying if you work in topics
such as neuroengineering or computational neuroscience. The search is open to
all areas, including biosensing, bioelectronic interfacing, imaging, biomedical
data analysis and computational modeling.

The neuro community in ATL is incredible, combining cutting edge
interdisciplinary research with a highly collaborative and friendly culture.
There’s a particularly strong computational neuroscience community here. GT is
making major investments in growing neuro, and plans to launch a novel PhD
program in Neuroscience & Neurotechnology next year.

ECE at GT has a long history of applying engineering principles to biotech
problems. Faculty share strong collaborations with colleagues developing
cutting edge foundational technologies and local clinical partners (e.g.,
Schools of Medicine at Emory University and Morehouse).

Overall, I love working at GT (and especially ECE). Local colleagues are
friendly and helpful. GT is ambitious, growing and supportive. Collaboration
opportunities are abundant. And the technical expertise is top shelf....there
are local experts in any area you need.

I also love living in ATL. It is a diverse and vibrant city full of distinct
neighborhoods. It's affordable and an easy travel hub. It's a green city that's
great for outdoor activity. The food and arts culture is quite good. The
weather is temperate much of the year.

Come be my colleague! I'm happy to answer any questions. Share with anyone who
might be interested.

Regards,
chris
