Thank you for your question! I am currently working on enabling Hadoop
support for JDK 17, and several community members have contributed PRs for
it. I am addressing the issue of HADOOP-15984, and once that is resolved,
progress on other JDK 17-related tasks will be quicker. I expect to have
basic support for compiling under JDK 17 by Q4 2024. As far as I know,
there is no more detailed timeline available at this moment.
