FYI, we aren't allowed to release artifacts with org.json in them, shaded or not. As Apache Legal say
-- If you have been using it, and have done so in a *release*, AND there has been NO pushback from your community/eco-system, you have a temporary exclusion from the Cat-X classification thru April 30, 2017. At that point in time, ANY and ALL usage of these JSON licensed artifacts are DISALLOWED. -- The aws-SDK used for the s3a FS has this internally. Hadoop 2.8+ is OK, but for 2.7.x, the JARs are non-compliant meaning for a new Hadoop 2.7.x release, it cant be shipped, leaving two viable choices (ignoring rip & replace) * either upgrade to the later version (not entirely trivial) * pull it out of the redist package, and warn people that it's gone, what to do --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: common-dev-unsubscr...@hadoop.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: common-dev-h...@hadoop.apache.org
