Hi all, We had a long release-related discussion for 2.6.1 [1], and we pooled in a big list of patches [2].
Together with Akira and Sangjin who offered help with the release, I am starting the release process. Things to do (1) Create 2.6.1 branch and prep branch-2.6 for 2.6.2. I am doing this today. (2) With Wangda's help offline, I prepared an ordered list of cherry-pick commits that we can do from our candidate list [1], will do some ground work today. (3) We do have a bunch of tickets pending in 2.6.1 and marked as "Target Version" though [3]. Sangjin / Akira, can you please help triage, make movement etc? In case, you think they should be moved out, let's start a conversation on JIRA and move them out. It's not likely that we are going to wait for a whole lot of these. (4) There are a bunch of unresolved patches that are selected in the candidate list. I'll need help from the entire community in making a resolution as quickly as possible whether they get committed or moved out.
