https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-8268i made patch for POM files. In addition to replace > with > XML schema instances were added. XML validator do not complains.
also commit this: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-8360 - another xml validation problem
