Thanks for the detailed review. Issue 1 is addressed in 213d6de81: the restore future is now retained, the test first waits until the restored job commits a checkpoint-id that was absent before the savepoint (proving the restored run is live), then asserts the restore command exited 0 before running the uniqueness/occurrence verification.
