Thank you for reporting this request. Classification: D / Connector-V2 Iceberg Hive Metastore compatibility. Current `dev` pins the Iceberg connector to Iceberg 1.6.1 and Hive 2.3.9, so HMS 4.x compatibility needs a concrete reproduction before we can define a safe dependency or compatibility change. To make the report reviewable by the whole community, please reply in English with: - the SeaTunnel version/commit, JDK, Iceberg catalog type, and the exact HMS 4.2.1 distribution; - a sanitized source or sink configuration and the HMS URI/authentication mode; - the complete exception and the operation that fails (catalog load, table discovery, read, write, or commit); - whether the same job works against the currently supported HMS version; and - a minimal reproducible table operation. After that, we can determine whether this is an Iceberg dependency/classpath incompatibility or a connector behavior issue, and define source-and-sink compatibility coverage.
