CI follow-up: in my last review I noted the `Build` workflow was still in progress. The underlying fork run for head `1e1d46a3` (run 39089322658, attempt 2) was actually cancelled on 2026-10-19 after running for a long time, while the required `Build` check on this PR still shows as in progress, so it will not resolve on its own. Please re-run the workflow from the Actions tab of your fork (or push a small update after syncing `dev`; the branch is now 37 commits behind), and make sure the image-matrix jobs complete.
