CI exposed an integration-test assumption in the current dev merge tree. Fixed in 5e761f086e, with dev f4474404f3 merged without rewriting history. The previous branch ran 392 tests; the merged tree had 497, including the newer HTTP error-body test. Its same-line padding was correctly removed with the bare credential, leaving nothing to truncate. The test now keeps its positive secrecy/capping checks on a body that remains long after redaction. A second case preserves the original fixture and checks that a body shortened below the cap is not labelled truncated. Production still redacts before clipping; no redaction or clipping behavior was weakened. The complete merged CLI suite passes locally: 498 tests and 3 subtests, plus Ruff 0.16.7 and the required root verify on JDK 17. Tests used real loopback HTTP with proxy variables cleared only for the test subprocess to match CI. Fresh remote Python jobs are pending, and the separate fork Build detection issue is not claimed resolved.
