Drafted the coverage as #12372 (currently a draft, because it depends on #12355: without the fix the sink receives `SET(5)` and MySQL rejects the generated `ALTER TABLE`, which is exactly the regression the case is meant to catch). Scope note while looking for a host for this: the `CREATE TABLE` a sink generates at job start takes its types from the catalog (`information_schema.COLUMN_TYPE`) and is not affected by the #12355 fix, so the case drives the statement the fix actually changes - the `ALTER TABLE ... ADD/MODIFY COLUMN` the sink builds from the event column's source type expression. That path is what `MysqlCDCWithSchemaChangeIT` can host; the auto-create `CREATE TABLE` path is already covered on the JDBC side by #12333. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
