Thanks for the clarification. I’m still planning to work on this issue.
For the first Draft PR, I’ll focus on discovering newly matching tables
during startup or restore, adding a default-disabled configuration option, and
making sure checkpoint state handles recovery and avoids duplicate admission.
I’ll leave live discovery from the running binlog stream for a follow-up PR
after the state and ownership design has been reviewed.
I’ll open a Draft PR with the configuration proposal, state changes, and
focused tests so maintainers can review the approach early.
