### Which Issue(s) This PR Fixes Fixes #6429 ### Brief Description An empty or whitespace-only metric sample was coerced to zero by `Number()`. Reuse the existing finite-number parser so missing values do not become invented measurements in chart points, summaries, sample details, or CSV exports. Explicit zero and finite scientific notation remain valid. ### How Did You Test This Change? - Focused Vitest suite `src/utils/metricsExplorerDiagnostics.test.ts`: **12 passed**; both added regressions failed before the fix. - Tests exercise mixed valid/blank values and blank-only series across the chart, summary, detail and export transformations. - ESLint on changed files and full application TypeScript check passed. - New test code formatted with Prettier; unrelated baseline formatting was excluded from the diff. - `git diff --check` passed.
