Scope note for review: this only tightens the `FOUND` case where the broker hands back a message sitting beyond the requested offset. `OFFSET_ILLEGAL` / `OFFSET_RESET_NULL` responses keep their existing handling — those already signal an invalidated position explicitly instead of silently forwarding a later message. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
