I am busy with radically different matters, sorry for that. This looks quite complex. Is it executed automatically and what does it do if already executed on a board ? At least I know to expect GPIO breakage, and if that does not work I will fix it. TBH we have frozen the version of nuttx we use, because we are not uh... happy with endless unexpected nuttx commit surprises. Looking at my code it looks like you already had problems and told me so, my board.h already has macros to erase and re-apply speed settings on spi ports. So let's go ahead and we'll see.
